Plateline User Manual

First launch: Onboarding

When you open Plateline for the first time, a guided tour walks you through the main features. The tour shows you how to start a workout, explains the numbers on the Train tab, and shows you where to find your progress. You can replay the tour anytime by going to Settings -> Help and tapping "Replay guided tour".

Plateline asks you for your preferences at the start: weight unit (kilograms or pounds), distance unit, and default rest time between sets.

Train tab: Your workout dashboard

The Train tab is the heart of the app. Here you see:

Starting a workout: Active session

When you tap start or choose a routine, the active workout view opens. You see:

Entering a set

  1. Tap the weight field to start. The number pad opens automatically
  2. Switch between fields by tapping to enter weight and reps
  3. For each set you also see a field for RIR (reps in reserve) if enabled
  4. Tap "Set complete" to save the set

The plate calculator

When you enter a weight, the number pad shows a plate calculator telling you which plates to load on the bar, based on your configured bar weight and available plates from Settings.

The rest timer

After saving a set, the app shows a timer for the recommended rest time. The default is set in Settings, but you can set a custom value for each exercise.
