Frequently asked

Where is my data stored?

On your device. Sixteen has no accounts, no servers and no analytics. Nothing you log is sent anywhere. See privacy policy for details.

How do I export my data, or move it to a new phone?

Settings, then Export, writes your whole history as JSON or CSV through the system share sheet. Import reads a previously exported JSON file back in. Because everything lives on the device, an export is your only backup: a reset, a loss or an uninstall without one cannot be undone.

How do I cancel Sixteen Pro?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by this app. In Sixteen: Settings, then Manage Subscription, which opens the system screen directly. Or on the device: Settings, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for, and access stays available until then.

I paid but the app still asks me to subscribe.

Tap Restore purchases on the subscribe screen. If that does not help, check that the device is signed in with the same Apple Account that made the purchase. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, because the purchase contract is with Apple.

My subscription lapsed. Did I lose my training history?

No. Your history stays readable without Pro. Only starting a new workout asks you to subscribe again.

The Apple Watch app is not showing heart rate.

Heart rate needs HealthKit permission. Check iPhone Settings, Health, Data Access & Devices, Sixteen, and allow reading heart rate. Sixteen writes finished workouts back to Health only if you allow that separately.

Which languages does Sixteen speak?

English, German, Spanish, French, Italian and Brazilian Portuguese. Settings, then Language, switches immediately without a restart.

Does Sixteen show pounds and miles?

Not yet. Weights are kilograms and distances kilometres throughout. An imperial option is on the list.

Can I delete my profile?

Yes. In Settings, Profile & Goals, you will find a button to delete your profile. This removes your name, your body stats, and goals. Your training history is not affected.

I accidentally deleted a workout. Can I get it back?

No. Workouts are deleted immediately and cannot be recovered. A previous export is your only backup.

Something is not working right. What should I do?

Write to maximilian.kuchlbauer@gmail.com and describe what is not working. Please see the checklist above.
