1. Scope

These terms govern your use of the Plateline iPhone app. Your purchase, billing, refunds and subscription management are governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement and Apple's terms, which take precedence over these terms for anything they cover.

2. What the app is

A training log. It records what you choose to enter and calculates figures from it, including estimated one rep maxima, training volume and personal records.

3. What the app is not

Plateline is not medical, health or coaching advice. Estimated one rep maxima are formulae applied to numbers you typed, not measurements. Strength levels compare your entries against published tables and are an orientation, not an assessment. Suggested weights are suggestions only; the app never records a lift you did not perform.

Training with weights carries risk of injury. You are responsible for what you attempt. If you have any doubt about your fitness to train, consult a qualified professional first.

4. Free use and Pro

The app is free to use for up to two completed workouts per calendar week. Pro removes that limit and is offered as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription, or a one-off lifetime purchase.

Everything you have already logged remains readable and editable whether or not you hold Pro. Your training history is never locked. (This version of the app has no export function; if one is added, this section will say so.)

5. Subscriptions

Subscriptions renew automatically at the price and period shown at purchase unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Manage or cancel in the App Store account settings. The lifetime purchase does not renew.

6. Your data

Your training data is stored on your device. See the Privacy Policy.

7. Availability

The app is provided as-is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or discontinue features.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Otherwise our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Apple

Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to furnish support or maintenance for the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to the app.

10. Law

German law applies, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
