Dermline: Terms of Use (draft for legal review)

Last updated: 2026-09-12

1. What Dermline is

Dermline is a personal diary for skin observations. It records what you enter about flares, symptoms, triggers, treatments and photos, shows statistics over your own entries, and can export a report. **It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.** It never classifies a lesion and never recommends a product or a treatment.

2. No medical advice

The app's charts, trends, averages and comparisons are calculations over the data you entered. They are not an assessment of your health. Decisions about your skin belong with a qualified clinician. In an emergency, contact emergency services.

3. Your content and your responsibility

You own what you enter. You are responsible for the accuracy of your entries and for keeping your device secure. The app stores everything locally; if you lose the device or delete the app without a backup, the data is gone.

4. Subscriptions

Dermline Pro is sold through the App Store as an auto-renewing subscription:

The purchase is a contract with Apple under Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions, which also govern billing, refunds and cancellation.

5. Availability

We may update the app and may change features. We do not guarantee that any particular feature remains, except that entries you have already recorded stay readable on your device.

6. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. For simple negligence we are liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation and limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Otherwise liability is excluded. Mandatory statutory liability, in particular under the German Product Liability Act, remains unaffected.

7. Governing law

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protection of your country of residence remains unaffected.
