Dermline: how to use it (draft)

A short manual, the same words the support page links to.

The idea in one paragraph

Dermline is a diary for a skin condition. You record each flare in a few seconds: how bad it was, where, what it felt like, what was around it, what you used and optionally a photo. Over time the app shows the pattern in your own entries and can print one page your dermatologist can read in thirty seconds. Everything stays on your phone.

Your first entry

Open the app and tap the plus. Move the severity slider to match today, tap the conditions and body sites, tap any symptom and how strong it was, tag what was around the flare, mark whether you took your treatment, and add a note. Tap Save. That is the whole loop.

Recording photos

Photos are a Pro feature. In the entry editor tap "Add a photo" and pick one from your library. Choose the same distance and light each time so the before/after pair is easy to read.

Seeing the pattern

The Insights tab shows the severity trend, your recorded symptoms, the body sites and conditions, how the days you tagged compare with the others, and how often you logged your treatment. The 7-day window is free; the 30-day window is Pro. None of it is a diagnosis; it is a picture of what you recorded.

Comparing photos

The compare screen puts two photos of the same site side by side with their dates and the severity of each. It is on Today and in Settings.

For your dermatologist

Open the doctor report, choose a window (7 days free; 30 or 90 with Pro), and export a PDF or CSV. The PDF opens with your name, the period, the summary and then every entry. Share it through the normal iOS share sheet.

Reminders, lock, language

In Settings you can set a daily reminder, turn on a Face ID lock (Pro), choose the appearance, switch the layout for your hand, and pick a language. A language change applies the next time the app starts.

Your privacy

There is no account and no server. Nothing you enter and no photo leaves the device unless you export it yourself. Reset app data deletes everything on the phone; your subscription and your settings stay.
