Right of Withdrawal

Who you withdraw against

When you buy a "Kettra Pro" subscription (monthly or yearly) through the Apple App Store, the purchase contract is concluded **between you and Apple**, not with Maximilian Kuchlbauer. The statutory right of withdrawal for that contract is therefore exercised against Apple first, through Apple's own channels, in particular https://reportaproblem.apple.com or your Apple Account's purchase history.

This notice is nonetheless provided for completeness, in case a particular situation means the provider of this App is also a valid addressee for a withdrawal.

The right itself

As a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from a contract for digital content or a digital service within fourteen days, without giving reasons. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the conclusion of the contract.

When it ends early

The right of withdrawal ends early once performance of the contract (for example, unlocking Pro features) has begun, if you

expressly agreed that performance would begin before the withdrawal period ends, and
confirmed you understood that this agreement means losing the right of withdrawal once performance begins.

In the Apple App Store purchase flow, this agreement is represented by Apple's own purchase confirmation dialog. The same applies to the free trial week that precedes both Kettra Pro terms: performance begins as soon as the trial is activated.

What withdrawal means in practice

A valid withdrawal unwinds what both sides received; amounts already paid are refunded. Because payment runs through Apple, any refund is issued by Apple as well.

If you want to withdraw

You can write to maximilian.kuchlbauer@gmail.com stating which subscription you are withdrawing from and when you ordered it, for the record. The primary channel for the purchase contract itself remains Apple, as above. The German text at https://mk-sd.com/kettra/withdrawal carries the full model withdrawal form.

Ordinary cancellation is separate

Cancelling a running subscription at the end of its current term is always possible through your Apple Account's subscription management, regardless of the right of withdrawal described here; see the Terms of Use, section 5, and the "Manage subscription" link in the App.
